Una delle date più attese del 2011 per tutti gli amanti della musica è senz’altro quella che coincide con la release di “WOW”, il nuovo album dei Verdena: l’appuntamento in tutti i negozi di dischi e nei digital store è fissato per Martedì 18 Gennaio.
“WOW” sarà il metro di confronto (la cattiva notizia è che sarà difficilmente superabile), non solo per gli stessi autori ma per tutto il rock tricolore: qui prende forma il superamento dei generi, che attinge a piene mani da quelle espressioni acustiche ‘di frontiera’ ben lontane dal compiacere i gusti del pubblico di massa. Eppure, “WOW” sarà – a suo modo – anche pop: dentro questi due dischi incontreremo l’altra faccia dei Verdena, quella alla quale piace destabilizzare l’ascoltatore con soluzioni impervie e allo stesso tempo affascinanti. E mentre attendiamo pazienti che “WOW” arrivi nelle nostre orecchie, posso finalmente svelare la cover dell’album e la tracklist definitiva. Dopodiché, non ci resta che augurarvi Buone Feste e darvi appuntamento da queste parti il 10 Gennaio 2011 per attivare il countdown alla release con delle fantastiche sorprese dal mondo Verdena… Non possiamo anticiparvi nulla, se non di tenere vivo il contatto con mtv.it e mtvmusic.com!

Gli Zero Assoluto saranno in concerto ad Avellino la notte di Capodanno. Un concerto gratuito in piazza per dare il benvenuto al nuovo anno e salutare un 2010 che ha riservato grandi soddisfazioni al duo romano composto da Matteo Maffucci e Thomas De Gasperi. L’appuntamento è a Piazza Libertà. Un augurio ed una celebrazione davvero speciale per la città e per gli avellinesi tutti.
Akon, il cui duetto “Hold my hand” con Michael Jackson ha provocato più d’una polemica, potrebbe decidere di bruciare i nastri contenenti tutto il resto del materiale registrato con il King of Pop. Il cantante USA, forse ferito dall’accusa di voler lucrare su una persona che non c’è più, secondo quanto riporta la rivista “Now!” ha detto: “Io e Mike avevamo lavorato su un sacco di idee prima che se ne andasse. Uno dei pochi brani completi era ‘Hold my hand’, il resto dei dischi è incompleto. Sono solo idee, concetti, armonie e robe simili che il mondo probabilmente non vedrà mai perché non mi va di pubblicare queste cose in uno stato non terminato. Potrei anche bruciare tutto dopo questa intervista perché potrei essere tentato di fare un remix! In fin dei conti so che, se queste cose non sono completamente sviluppate, lui probabilmente non avrebbe voluto pubblicarle così come sono”.
Lily Allen, secondo una notizia riportata sia dal “Sun” sia dal “Daily Mail”, avrebbe accettato la proposta di matrimonio avanzata dal fidanzato Sam Cooper. La cantante londinese, che poche settimane fa ha avuto un aborto spontaneo al sesto mese di gravidanza, avrebbe detto “sì” immediatamente. La coppia si trovava a Bali, presso un hotel da 1000 euro a notte. Cooper, che lavora nel campo dell’edilizia e in passato è stato muratore, avrebbe posto a Lily la fatidica domanda come i gentiluomini d’un tempo, mettendosi in ginocchio. I due si frequentano dal luglio 2009.
